Her passion is providing personalized health care and wellness plans for children, from birth to young adulthood. She enjoys watching kids grow in each stage of childhood and working with parents to facilitate the healthiest mental and physical well-being possible. Dr. Contreras has a significant interest in caring for patients with asthma, newborn care, childhood obesity, and behavioral-mental health differences, especially ADHD. She has an 8-year boy with special needs diagnosed with Soto’s Syndrome. She knows how parents are often overwhelmed when they have a new baby with special needs. She says, “I have been there too; having special needs does not always mean limited and poor quality of life. However, their care will be filled with challenges to reach their full potential. I treat my patients just as they are my kids. I invite myself to be part of your family because we have become a team and are on their journey together. Raising and caring for a child is not a sprint; it is a marathon, and you can count on me to be running by your side”.
She is married to a neurologist. Her favorite activity is spending time with her husband, three kids, and 2 German shepherds. She likes biking, running, and training for 5 k races. She also speaks fluent Spanish.
